As far as some of the latest podcast series that are getting the most attention here, the true crime genre is a real craze ever since the podcast Serial (https://serialpodcast.org/) launched a few years ago. Personally, I find this genre ethically problematic much of the time, and the hunger for these kinds of stories, while not surprising, is a bit disturbing – these are real human lives being pored over, not fiction.
